Patient
Young man 22 years of age, asymptomatic, with no prior history and a normal cardiac ultrasound;
Trace
Isoelectric ST segment, with no abnormality and minimal physiological elevation in V1-V2 (< 0.5 mm);
Exergue
The ST segment is generally isoelectric and horizontal; a deviation of less than 1 mm above or below the baseline may be physiological.
The ST segment corresponds to the portion of the electrical conduction which occurs between the end of the QRS-complex, which reflects the end of ventricular depolarization, and the beginning of the T-wave, which corresponds to the beginning of the repolarization.
