Two different means are available to induce VF: shock‑on‑T and HF Burst.111
1 - SHOCK-ON-T
Number S1 (number of pulses in the pacing train that will precede the shock): nominal 8; R‑S1 Interval (interval used for all pulses in the pacing train): nominal 400 ms;
Coupling Interval (interval from the last delivered pacing pulse where shock will be delivered): nominal 290 ms;
Energy (energy that will be delivered to the T-wave): nominal 1 joule;
2 - HF BURST
Duration: 1, 2, 3 or 4 seconds (nominal 4 seconds); HF Burst can be delivered for an extended time by holding the START button down; Burst Rate: 10, 20 … 40 Hz (nominal 40 Hz)
